Sunshine and Paint

Hi Friends,
Looks like sunshine today so you know what that means for me.
Painting Day!!

First let me began with showing you some of the new
stuff in the shop

I sold the lamp shade I made last weekend so....
I made this one for the funky blue lamp
I've had forever

Sorry this picture is so blurry .... I call this cute folding metal table The Grasshopper.

I painted the bottom of this round coffee table....

Ok.. here are the projects that are next in line for the Studio
This blue chair isn't ready yet... it needs a few days to dry before sanding.

This little chest is awesome.... I'm actually going to keep this one for myself.
The top is pretty missed up but I plan on distressing it and putting glass on the top any ways.

These drawers are little folding tables.... LOVE LOVE LOVE

Arnt they just the cutest?

I'm doing these chairs for a friends daughter...
Her daughter is newly married and the couple are getting their first place together.
She is trying to save money and by second hand furniture

I still need to distress and stain them but I think the couple will have an awesome little love nest.

Well the fog rolled in at about 3 this afternoon so the painting had to be put on hold until the next sunny day. Until then I off to do some SHOPPING.

Happy Valentines Day

I hope you have some one special to spend time with tomorrow.
I'm spending the day with my Sweetheart.
Since we aren't going to be home all day, I decided to give him his gift early.

First I would like to share with you my project of the day.

I picked  this boat up for 1.00 at a garage sale burring the summer. Of course it didn't look like this when I got it and yes I forgot to take a before picture. Trust me it wasn't very pretty, anyway I turned it into a romantic ghost ship.

Here is my Sweetie's early Valentine gift. He doesn't ask for anything and he isn't a fufu kind of guy.
His favorite cake is a plane chocolate cake with no icing .... just powdered sugar sprinkled on top.
This is the best I could do. So Happy Valentine Sweetie.... I love you : )

You Light Up My Life

I'm back just like I promised

working in the house today
I did go down to the studio to take a few pictures for you

The chair and blue paper stand or side table what ever you want
it to be are new to the studio

There is my sweet little feather pillow I made the other day

Here is another small table that I shabbied yesterday

The butterfly stool and lamp are  new

The vanity is  the only large new piece
I don't think I can get any thing else in here with out selling something

I like to have quite a few small piece of furniture on hand because POC has alot of winter vacationers or more commonly called  'Snow Birds'
They come in there travel tailors and motor homes for the winter and leave again in the spring.
Just because they are living in small spaces doesn't mean thay cant shop.

As for what I was working on this morning

Will I hope you enjoyed  the tour
I will be opened this weekend so if your in town drop by for a visits

Wow~!

That's all I really have to say.....

Will maybe I have a little more to say than just that....

I have been a busy bee today

Here are a few pictures of whats been going on around the shop

I have had this vintage fabric for years. I didn't know what to do with it so I just held on to it. Well while I was going throw my fabric the other day I decided to make something funky.

I also have had this sweet little feather pillow for years,,,,
 so guess what?

This blue pillow might not look like much but it has a pretty flower on the back side and is soooo soft....its also a feather pillow.

The blues on the lamp don't match the blues in the fabric on the flower but its the only available lamp I have right now

Today was a amazingly beautiful day for painting

I'm trying out a new Painting technique
I'm adding baking soda to my paint to make a thicker paint
Its supposed to be really easy to sand and it makes the piece of furniture really old.
We'll see

I will let you know how the paint turned out after I finish the piece.

I will post more pictures of the finished projects tomorrow, unless the weather is as pretty tomorrow as it was today.
Until then do something creative
